Batch Loading

Batch loading is typically used on smaller units and permits only one loading per incineration cycle.

Ram Feeders

Hydraulic ram feeders, which incorporate a unique wedge shaped fire door, are available in sizes up to 3.0 yd3 (2.3 m3) and allow on-line loading with a minimum of uncontrolled air entering the primary chamber.
All batch feed units and the smaller ram feed units typcially use manual de-ashing. Larger ram feed incinerators are available with on-line wet ash removal. Ash is discharged into a water-filled tank and then removed by a drag conveyor. This option allows 24 hour operation of some models.
